We spent several weeks corresponding with the Restore Vision Clinic before Aiden was qualified for treatment. In June 2017, he received two weeks’ therapy. Since returning from Germany, Aiden’s vision has definitely improved a lot. He has gained a lot of confidence with his surroundings, whether it’s day or night. Before, he was very afraid during our nighttime outings. He is now scootering to school most days unassisted; something he hadn’t done since his illness. He goes to movies, plays arcade games, and uses his iPad and computer. He can now throw and catch a Frisbee, with slight difficulty. He trips less and maneuvers stairs a lot easier now. He recently came third in a race against his peers. Six months after treatment at the Restore Vision Clinic, Aiden was able to get back on his beloved scooter. It is a fantastic outcome. We've also recently installed a pool and he's now able to dive down and see well enough to collect coins.
