I’m from Sydney, Australia. During Christmas 2016, my six year old son, Aiden, was admitted to hospital because he was complaining about severe difficulties with his eyesight - he literally was only able to see hand movements with one eye, with only slightly better vision in the other eye. Following a week of examinations, he was diagnosed with severe bilateral optic neuritis. Unfortunately, after several months’ therapy his vision did not improve. As you might understand, his permanent vision loss, and revealed sustained optic atrophy, has been a devastating experience for our family.   ### Aiden from Sydney, Australia was diagnosed with severe bilateral optic neuritis in December 2017. > "The team here has been fantastic, very caring even before we did the initial consultation. In June 2017, he received two weeks’ therapy. Since returning from Germany, Aiden’s vision has definitely improved a lot. He has gained a lot of confidence with his surroundings, whether it’s day or night. Before, he was very afraid during our nighttime outings. He is now scootering to school most days unassisted; something he hadn’t done since his illness. He goes to movies, plays arcade games, and uses his iPad and computer. He can now throw and catch a Frisbee, with slight difficulty. He trips less and maneuvers stairs a lot easier now. He recently came third in a race against his peers.  Six months after treatment at the Restore Vision Clinic, Aiden was able to get back on his beloved scooter. It is a fantastic outcome.
