      Situation

"In December 2018 I was working long hours under stress and I began to feel different and not a good different. I was waking up in the night unable to get back to sleep and was getting out of bed and going to the lounge in an attempt to settle my body and mind down. I didn’t know what was wrong and I recall that after a couple of months of this I spoke to my wife about it. One night I was standing at our kitchen bench before going to bed and I said to her “there’s something wrong with me, I don’t know what it is but I feel off balance in my chest’’.

Mr. Matthew Rowett, once faced with the loss of his driving license due to not meeting the required vision standards, experienced a remarkable turnaround after undergoing Fedorov Therapy. This innovative treatment not only enhanced his field of vision but also enabled him to successfully reclaim his driving license in Australia.

Mr. Rowett's case exemplifies the potential for significant vision restoration, even in cases of severe post-surgical complications. His journey from a dire prognosis to regaining functional vision and independence stands as a testament to the advanced therapies available at Restore Vision Clinic. Our commitment to personalized, innovative care has been instrumental in helping patients like Mr. Rowett reclaim their lives and continue to experience improvements long after the initial treatment.

On his 40th birthday, Mr. Rowett underwent a significant surgery to remove the glioblastoma, an aggressive and highly malignant brain tumor characterized by its rapid growth and invasive tentacle-like extensions. Following the surgery, he developed hemianopia, a condition in which a person loses half of the field of vision in one or both eyes. This condition occurs due to damage in the brain's visual pathways, often affecting the opposite side of the field of vision relative to the damaged brain area. Despite these challenges, Mr. Rowett continued to face his condition with determination and courage.

"As a survivor of brain cancer, I lost vision from the damage caused by the tumour and required surgery. I was told by my medical advisors that my vision loss was permanent and couldn’t be repaired. With the goal of gaining the best vision I could I approached the Federov clinic to try their treatment. Having completed two rounds of treatment and training, my vision has improved significantly. My quality of life has improved.  After 5 years without my driving license, I have improved my vision and regained my license and freedom.
